Live from Lupton - TCU vs. Low Seed Winner

6:49

Welcome to the first Live from Lupton in-game chat.   I am Travis L. Brown, sports editor for the TCU Daily Skiff.   I encourage you to use this space to post any questions or comments you have about TCU’s first 2009 Mountain West Baseball Championships game, and I will answer them to the best of my abilities or I invite anyone else to answer.   If the conversation wanders a little into other realms of Horned Frog sports, that is just fine, I’ll just keep posting what’s going on with the game and answering those questions as well.   Don’t forget to tune into the game on The Mtn. network or CBS College Sports, listen live at www.ktcu.tcu.edu, or track the game here.    Have fun!

will the tcu baseball game start at 7:00
6:50
No the new start time is 7:20 because the game before ran slightly long.

The last game just finished a small while ago with San Diego St. defeating New Mexico 2-1.   New Mexico mounted a rally in the bottom of the ninth to score a run and load the bases but SDSU closer Addison Reed pulled off his 18th save of the season.

San Diego St. starter Stephen Strasburg left the game in the bottom of the 8th with "tightness and cramping in his right side and back.

is there a chance tcu won't win this tourney
6:55
You see something new everyday in baseball so nothing is out of the picture, however I think Utah really helped the Frogs out by beating SDSU and forcing Strasburg to pitch today against New Mexico instead of against TCU. Now the Frogs would only see him possibly in a relief position.

is there a chance Strasburg won't return to tourney, and if he doesn't does that hurt his recruiting chances
7:00
I talked to Tony Gwynn after the game and he seemed to think Strasburg would be fine.   Strausburg was walking around like he felt fine.   I think he's proven enough this season for scouts to still take him first.   It might effect how long he is in the minors though.
