WCMessenger - Here we are in Week 10 of the season. For most area teams, tonight will be the last game of the season. At least two, Bridgeport and Boyd, will be heading to the playoffs. Decatur and Alvord hope to join them in the postseason. Along with cheering for an Eagles' win over Bridgeport, Decatur fans have to cheer for a Vernon win over Iowa Park. A Vernon win of six, seven or eight points will send the Eagles to the playoffs. Alvord's lone hope to make the playoffs is a Chico win over Jacksboro.

6:26	WCMessenger - Boyd will face Pilot Point next week in the Class 2A Division I playoffs. The two will play at Springtown's new stadium at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

7:26	WCMessenger - We're about 2 minutes from kickoff. Should be fun. It's my first Battle of Big Sandy. Interested in seeing it. I'm no stranger to rivals. Watched plenty of Pilot Point/Celina, Lindsay/Muenster battles over the years.

7:28	WCMessenger - By the way, there's a fierce wind tonight and it could play a factor. The Decatur flags at midfield are whipping around. Both teams are getting ready to take the field.

7:30	WCMessenger - Decatur wins toss and defers until second half. Bridgeport will receive the ball and defend the north goal.

7:30	WCMessenger - It will be interesting to see how Cody Henson and the Bulls offense handles going into the wind.

7:31	WCMessenger - I will say the toughest job in the building tonight will belong to the guys holding the Decatur and Bridgeport flags. It's wearing me out watching them try to fight that fierce south wind.
