By the way, West Forest took the lead at the buzzer on Rachel Greathouse's jumper. It's WF's first lead of the game.

Tom Reisenweber reports that West Forest brought a huge crowd, and they're going crazy after every basket. A very impressive following for the small town.

Cathedral Prep senior Rocco Wellek, the school's all-time leader with 159 career victories, will try to add one more in his final scholastic wrestling match Saturday night at Hershey.

Wellek advanced to the 130-pound final of the PIAA Class AAA tournament with a 3-2 decision over Shawn Greevy of Cumberland Valley. Wellek takes a 45-2 record into the tile match against Joe Waltko (40-1) of North Allegheny.

Saturday's AAA championship finals will start at 8 p.m. at the Giant Center. The finals will be broadcast live by the Pennsylvania Cable Network.

McDowell's Steve Spearman (125) and Prep's Nick Milano (171) will both wrestle for third place tonight in the consolation rounds. Both won twice this morning. They will wrestle in the consolation rounds, which begin at 6 p.m.

That's an impressive performance for both Spearman and Milano. Spearman, of course, is just a freshman. I believe he will win a state title or two some day.
