The biggest event of the rock racing world is about to kick off from Johnson Valley, California. The competitors are lined up and in only a few minutes this epic race will kick off. This is Pirate4x4/Dirtnewz Reporting crew 2 between race mile two and three where the bumps are as big as the San Felipe Zoo Road.

We have photogs in place and we'll be pushing the action to you in a few minutes as the Sat Truck is locked on to the Internet and everything is about to bust loose!

8:02	The green flag has dropped

8:02	Jeff Mello is the first truck through RM 2.5 and he's just plain getting it Pirate Style...Mello a 20+ year racing veteran is kicking some ass early

8:03	The 52X by our spot and getting pounded on the big bumps..followed by the 42 Maxxis truck waayyy slower

8:04	Wow!!!! Randy Slawson is HAULING ASS!!!!!

8:04	Kirby Offroad through the bumps pushing hard in the all black rig followed by Brad Lovell here in the 32 car...these guys are only going about 15 miles per hour through this section...but wait for the top dawgs...

8:05	At this point in the race racemile 2.5, they are in single file...first car stopped just up from our crews...

8:06	Randy Slauson flying through the field passing 5 trucks through these rough bumps...he is just flat getting it.

8:08	Slauson assault on the big bumps here at RM 2.5 was unbelievable as he wasted no time in blowing by trucks. ... Jason Scherer sucking up the big bumps as he passes a bunch of slower guys here early...

8:08	CARNAGE at RM 2.5...broken cars are now starting to litter the desert floor, they are a bit of ways off, but our photogs will be giving us the shots here shortly

8:09	The black 247 truck making his way through these desert bumps but it looks like he's hurting everytime he smacks the front end... The KOH helo overhead with camera crews hanging out of the doors

8:13	Near crash with the Dirt Built and the 406 at RM 2.5...Dirt Built almost when he rear ended the 406 truck...NEAR Miss
