You have to be a good listener. Don't tell them about people you know who've had it. You're there for your loved one's needs. Above all, be a great listener.

I had a great support system - my family. I relied on my faith and music, oddly enough.

There's a Jodee Messina song called "Was That my Life." For me, music lifts you up and changes the mood. I had music going all the time.
