Graham -  A big Good Afternoon to all the Hoopheads, Net Freaks and Ballers following us today as RTC comes to you live from Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana home of the Butler University Bulldogs.

Graham -  For those unfamiliar with Hinkle, it is often considered a shrine to college basketball in central Indiana. As you walk in, it almost smells of history... When it was built in 1928, it was the largest basketball arena in the United States, and it retained that distinction until 1950. It is the sixth-oldest college basketball arena still in use, and was the inspiration for the design of Conseco Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers.

Graham -  Gene Hackman made his Hollywood impression upon Hinkle back in the 1986 movie Hoosiers. Hopefully some of you ballers have seen that classic? That movie bourght Hinkle alive and can give you an incredible pictorial of this place...

Graham -  For the second straight year, Butler will open the men’s basketball season with a BracketBusters rematch. The Bulldogs will kickoff the 2009-10 campaign at home against Davidson (N.C.)
1:53
Graham -  Butler returns its entire squad from a year ago, including Horizon League Player of the Year Matt Howard and Horizon League Newcomer of the Year Gordon Hayward. The Bulldogs posted a 26-6 record and made a third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The home-opener will be Butler’s lone appearance in Hinkle Fieldhouse until Dec. 5, when the Bulldogs begin Horizon League play against Valparaiso.

Graham -  Davidson lot their darling Durrey to the NBA lottery last year.   He was a force in their offense.   They do return some of their key plyers, but I am not sure that Archambault, Rossiter and Barr can haldne what Mack, Hayward and Howard are going to bring.
1:55
Graham -  Sophomore Shelvin Mack scored a 13 points and teammate Gordon Hayward put down 11 to lead Butler to a 77-45 victory over DePauw University in Butler's first exhibition game played at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Nov. 1st. Although Depauw is a small D-III school from Greencastle, Indianak, it appears they picked up right where they left off.

Graham -

Currey   is now a starter adn seems ot be the ignition on the guard heavily laiden Golden State Warriors.

1:56
Graham -  Butler wrapped up its two-game exhibition slate with a 75-44 victory over Taylor on Nov. 7 in Hinkle Fieldhouse.
1:57
Graham -  Butler Coach Brad Stevens has made a big name for him here in Indy. Seven years ago, he left the corporate world and has journeyed to one of the most successful head coaching starts in Division I. In his frist 2 years at the helm, he tallied up a record of 56-9, second only to Bill Guthridge of North Carolina.
1:57
Graham -  Coach Stevens took a quick jump this year and wrapped up his recruiting class on the first day of the Fall Signing Period. He landed three talented prospects: 6-9 Erik Fromm of Bloomington (Ind) South High School, 6-7 Khyle Marshall of Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, Fla., and 6-1 Chrishawn Hopkins of Manual High School in Indianapolis. All were considered in the cream of the crop from Hoosier land.
1:59
Graham -  Th energy in Hinkle today started early.   The Butler Students were here in force 45 minutes prior to tip.   This place has the buzz of expectations and another successful season.
1:59
Graham -  Davidson returns a pair of talented starters from last year’s team that finished 27-8. 6-7 Steve Rossiter and 6-6 Will Archambault. Both got plenty ot PT in Davidson's 35 games last year, helping the Wildcats to a third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
