OWHsports -  Welcome to this week's edition of Big 12 Roundup, The World-Herald's weekly live chat with Big 12 writer Lee Barfknecht. Lee will be joining us shortly, so send in your questions now.

Lee Barfknecht -  Hey, sports fans, this season keeps getting juicier and juicier. Let's discuss.

In the Big 12 (football), are defenses better this year, are offenses worse, or some combination of each?
11:59
Lee Barfknecht -  Greg: Good observation. It is some of both. The defenses have learned better ways to deal with the spread, and have recruited more "hybrid'' linebackers to counter the speed.

But the Big 12 injury list on offense is crazy: Sam Bradford, Jermaine Gresham, Kendall Hunter, Blaine Gabbert, Robert Griffin, Roy Helu, DeMarco Murray. Been a weird year.

OWHsports -  There has been lots of chatter on Lee's latest column, Huskers are best nominee for title game co-star, so check it out and add your own comments.

I see where Holt and Gilleyelen returned to practice with the top offensive units. Does your gut tell you that things will improve at the wide receiver spots over the last three games?
12:00
Lee Barfknecht -  No one can predict those things. You have to wait until game day to see it happen. I would hope after being demoted that those guys would respond.

One of the comments on your column says that KState travels the best in the Big 12. Is that anywhere close to being true?
12:02
Lee Barfknecht -  KState fans have traveled well to bowl games. On a regular season basis, not so much. Too bad they couldn't sell out their own home game last Saturday against Kansas.

Is Suh the best defensive player you have seen this year? If so who could you compare him to that you have seen in your career?
