Hello, hello. Let's get started.

Will the Phillies consider moving Cole Hamels this year or next?
11:00

They will not trade Hamels any time soon, if ever, and they shouldn't.   You don't trade a player after he underperforms; you trade a player after he overperforms.   Just like trading stocks: You sell high, not low.   So even if you were thinking of trading Hamels--which they are not--now would be the worst time to do it.

Who are the Phillies going to get for third base?
11:04
Andy Martino -  They are looking for a marginal offensive upgrade over Feliz, on short deal.   Figgins is probably too expensive. Beltre would suit their needs perfectly, and I'm sure they'll closely monitor the market on him.   They've always liked DeRosa, and they'ropen to Tejada and Polanco-types.   They see a lot of options, and will see how the market develops for al of them.

What are some of the options the Phillies have to reload the bench?
11:05
Andy Martino -  They are looking for defensive versatility.   To replace Bruntlett, they'll need a guy who can play short, which would seem to eliminate guys like Jamey Carroll and Ronnie Belliard.   Some names that jump out are Bobby Crosb, Juan Uribe, maybe Omar Vizquel, though he's 74.

what would the phillies have to give up to get halloday?
11:07
Andy Martino -  A  lot.   Probably not much less than the Drabek/Brown/Gose/Happ package requested in July.   Still worth thinking about if you can sign him to an extension.   He's Roy F. Halladay, you know.
