11:35 | [Comment From Joy Bauer] Here is a strategy that has worked for many dieters I've counseled: cut out ALL sugars (real and artificial) for 7 days -- in other words, go cold turkey, to clean your palate. After that, tightly control your sugar intake by allowing yourself the option for "up to" two things with artificial sweetener each day (if you must) AND one daily sweet treat portioned at 150 calories or less (i.e., fun size candy bar). Save that sweet treat for later in the day so it doesn't exacerbate more sweet cravings. Good luck... I have the same sweet tooth and work hard to control it as well! |
