Pizza-nini in Brighton
11:04
Devra First
- I missed that one! You should've come on the crawl.

Devra First
- I loved a lot of places I expected to love -- Regina, Galleria Umberto, etc. But there were also some great surprises. I didn't know Ernesto's was That Good, or Presto in Brighton.

Santarpios for traditional pizza and I like Figs for a more "fancy - pants" pizza.
11:06
Devra First
- Figs I was also pleased with -- the pizza is still really good. I last ate it many years ago. Not sure why that is.

But I do have to say that I have always loved Regina's in the North End. It is my favorite of all pizza
11:06
Devra First
- Regina is way up there in the Boston pizza cosmology.

- Love it. I'd eat there all the time if I lived closer.

I ate at Sol Azteca in Brookline last weekend. It was on the authentic side of Mexican. Pretty good! I tried cactus, which either tastes a lot like green peppers, or was green pepper. And pizza - Pino's in Cleveland Circle.

Devra First
- Ha -- would be funny if the "cactus" was green pepper. I haven't been there in aaaages. Glad to hear you had a good meal.

I live next door and the smells are incredible...I'm actually glad they always have a long line or I'd weigh 300lbs.

I agree that Regina is up there in the Boston pizza scene but I have had a couple of pies there that should be served with a spoon - too soupy!

Good pizza crawl piece today. While I LOE Regina's (and live about two blocks away), I think the single best pie in town may be the Alsatian at Pcco. Glad to see you mentioned the place.

Devra First
- That Alsatian is amazing. I really like Picco in general, though the service can leave something to be desired. (Our waitress literally dropped our plates on the table from a foot above, without even looking at us.)

Anyone tried Poopsies in Pembroke? They've been doing the individual pie there for about 35-40 years.
