Pay attention, because this is the only time I'm going to answer a question about this. It's all nonsense. The video couldn't be any more inconclusive, and when Deadspin doesn't even try to make a controversy out of it, you know it's a nonstory. Baseball players spit, it's what they do. Unless they have evidence that this is a repeat thing (like Kenny Rogers in 2006), then it's not worth our bandwidth. The best part is that now that it's on Deadspin, the Angels fans look like a bunch of whiny bitches. Kinda like their manager.

1:08	Nope. I didn't have a problem with him pinch running for Matsui, but not having an even decent bat off the bench hurts. All the pitching changes are just awful. I'm still waiting for a decent explanation for the Marte-Coke change.

1:09	No, I would have pinch hit too. That 10th inning was a really stressful inning, and given their 2-0 series lead, they could afford to lift him with an eye towards today.

1:09	[Comment From Coach] Ideas of flipping Posada and Matusi in the lineup. If they are going to keep Pinch Running for Matusi, and leaving one of them behind Alex in late innings, they are never going to pitch to him.
