I've been working for newpapers since 1989. Sports coverage is part of what we do on a daily basis.

David Maialetti - For football it is a Canon Mark III with a 400mm lens.

If someone was interested in getting into sports photography, but was coming at it from a different creative career mid career - what advice would you give them?

David Maialetti - Ritchard that's a difficult question. It depends on what you want to do with the images. Do you want to work for a newspaper?
