One thing I have noticed about men's fashion is that everyone tries to sell us cargo pants and shorts but it is very rare to a decent pair of wool cargoes on the racks. Is this some kind of fashion no-no for men?

Philly.com -  Hello Robfromthen. I like wool cargos on a man, so I don't think it's a fashion no-no. But while I like them, I think cargos are too sporty. Get yourself some flat-front slacks and project a grown up suave image.

my question is in regards to khakis and spring colors such as yellow and coral when should I not wear light color khakis and spring color button downs does the labor day rule apply to thos as well

Philly.com -

Good questiion, Fred. I'm a firm believer in dressing for the season, but not the seasons that have been thrust upon us like Labor Day. It just so happens that this year, Labor Day hit us late, so summer clothing in September just feels kind of odd this year. That means, yes, keep your seersucker tucked away for now until next May, white shorts, too. (If you put them on this morning, you would have just looked cold) Coral is still OK. But you must temper it with brown, not white. It's time to transition from light blue to a navy as well. Hope that helps.

Philly.com -

P.S. Trade in those khakis for a pair of dark washed denim. Much more hip and definitely in season. Or try a pair of grey flat-front dress slacks. If you must wear pleats, choose a pair that has just one or two. Three or four pleats at the waist is just passe.
