I'm going to spare you the obligatory Monday Daylight Savings Time joke and just get started.

Is KSU as good as they looked Saturday?

[Comment From David Ubben]
It's possible. Fellow beat writer Jake Trotter is picking them to win the North, and I don't know if I can disagree. They looked significantly better than Kansas, though, the most talented team in the North.

Who will win the North and why?

[Comment From David Ubben]
Right now, I think it comes down to beat who you need to beat and try not to get anybody hurt when you have to play OU and Texas. For that reason, I'll take K-State. They've rebounded well after getting blasted by Tech. Colorado is awful, Missouri is in a hole, and Kansas can't stop anybody. Look for K-State to be the most consistent team from here on out, and win the right to get blown out by Texas in Dallas.

I'm a bit worried about Nebraska's d-line. Should I be?
11:07
[Comment From David Ubben]
Absolutely. The emergence of Jared Crick couldn't come at a worse time for Oklahoma, and there's not much else to say about Ndamukong Suh. The O-line will need to play a great game on Saturday, but look for Oklahoma to continue to exploit the edges of the field like they did against Texas to take Nebraska's D-line out of the equation.

Should we be worried about OU's defensive effort in the second half?
11:09
[Comment From David Ubben]
However, I should say, Nebraska is going to need help to win the game. That means game-changing turnovers. Without those, Nebraska is going to have a tough time scoring more than 10 points.

Maybe if it becomes a trend, but its a small sample size when you look at the rest of the season. It looked like OU got up big early and figured K-State would just go away like all the other teams did last year. The Wildcats just didn't oblige, and threatened to win the game.

Put McCoy on the O-line so he can face Suh ...

What's your take on Nebraska's disastrous offense?
11:11
[Comment From David Ubben]
Not sure. If you take a look at the NCAA's leaders in scoring defense, all 7 undefeated teams are in the top 13. In that same group, only OU and Nebraska have more than 2 losses. OU lost an All-American tight end and a Heisman winner. What's Nebraska's excuse?

[Comment From Bill]
when will people start talking about the system offense at OU? It's clear they're turning into Texas Tech with big passing numbers from any random QB
11:12
[Comment From David Ubben]
Forgot Air Force was in that top 13. Sorry.

[Comment From David Ubben]
I don't know if that's true. Look at how many times Tech throws the ball compared to OU. OU is spreading it out because they don't have the talent in between the tackles they had last year. Because of that, they had a pair of 1,000-yard rushers. When was the last time Tech could say that? Oklahoma is versatile, Tech isn't. But right now, the Sooners are doing what gives them the best chance to win.
