Bucs-Packers

1:00
Hey, Bucs fans. Just got done talking to Josh Freeman again. He's waited a long time for  his opportunity on Sunday when he makes his first start against the Packers. The Bucs really believe this guy will be the face of the franchise and a successful QB that give them a chance to be in the playoff hunt every season. But there will be some bumps along the way, to say the least.
Fire  away with your questions.

do you think jeff fischer would be a good fit in Tampa?
1:03
Well, considering that Raheem Morris has coached in just seven games...granted, he's 0-7...I don't see a change on the horizon, unless perhaps the team goes winless. Fisher is an excellent coach, one of the best in the NFL. If the Titans go another direction at the end of the season, he will be in high demand. But I don't think there will be an opening here next season. Not yet anyway.

Do you think this season would be any different if we still had Gruden as Head Coach??
1:05
James, there's no doubt it would be different under Jon Gruden. It was every year. Different quarterback, different players on offense, different results. But Jon knew how to win football games. Is problem was not having the right people to select players. I think the marriage with Bruce Allen after the Super Bowl turned out to be a bad one. One of the failures under Gruden, whether it was him or the GM, was the ability to draft and develop a QB. And after  seven seasons, the ownership wanted to make a change. It's painful when you rebuild with young players. It means you lose games. They're going through some of that now.

Are we going to get to see any of the new guys such as WR Figurs or our need DB from Dallas play anytime? We need 2 start evaluating these guys on the field.

I think you'll see Figurs down the road, but Clifton Smith is returning from his concussion and Sammie Stroughter can return kicks and has a helmet because he is the third WR. Special teams really dictate which non-starters are active, so I don't look for Figurs to be active this week. We'll know an hour before the game. You might see DE Kyle Moore, the team's fourth round pick, however. I would think Mike Mickens would be inactive.

what are Tampa's plans for caddy after this year? Isnt he going to be a free agent after this year? I would hope that they resign him. Isnt Truebloods contract up too?

Cadillac Williams is the top RB on this team, with or without his surgically repaired knees. Caddy has another year under contract, so I would think they would keep him. Trueblood is up, but if they don't extend the CBA with the Players' union, then he will need two more years to test free agency. He would be a restricted FA.

Do you honestly think that the problem with the Bucs is a lack of talented players on the team or lack of ability from the coaching staff? Or possibly a combination of both?
