Piv any thoughts from Coach Warming about the Drake match tomorrow; i.e. it looks like they are going to have to play Drake in the Semifinals of the MVC Tournament next weekend as well? Do they need to win one/both/sweep the whole tourney to get into the NCAAs?
12:04
Piv -  Talking with Bob and some players this week, and their entire thought process in focused on that they're not really concerned about who they have to play.     They feel they're finally playing like the team everyone figured they'd be.       My opinion is that they have to win the Valley tournament to keep from getting disappointed on Selection Monday, although a couple of wins over Drake, which is a top 30 RPI team, certainly wouldn't hurt their cause.

How much work do the Jays need on the glass after the other night?

Piv -  The results were obviously disappointing from the standpoint that they have spent a lot of time working on rebounding in practice.     It's been a point of emphasis throughout preseason practice.     It was a point of emphasis at halftime on Wednesday and after the game.     Bottom line, they should be a better rebounding team.     They're athletic enough to get to the boards.     They want to do it, but they're just not getting the job done.     At the same time, I wouldn't draw any major conclusions that this team is going to be just like last year in terms of rebounding based on one exhibition game.

Better shooting than what you expected?

Why didn't P start?

Piv -  No.     Having spent seven months watching these guys in pickup and throughout preseason practice, I knew this is a group that can shoot the ball, especially when they're getting the open looks they got the other night.     One of the strengths of this team should be its ability to share the ball and get guys shots when they're open.       That was the case the other night.
