Here's our first update:
Class AAAA girls: McDowell 25, Gateway 8: After the first quarter. The McDowell defense is dominating. The Trojans are giving Gateway problems when the Gators are in their half-court offense.

Gateway had 10 turnovers.

Allison Braun leads McDowell with eight points and four steals. She had a steal and layup, which put her over 1,000 career points. The senior guard/forward entered the game with 995 points.

Class AAAA girls: McDowell 31, Gateway 8: 6:42 to go in the half. McDowell's press continues to baffle the Gators.
