Pregame Notes and Quotes:

All-Star forward Rashard Lewis will miss his second straight game as he continues to serve his 10-game suspension. Ryan Anderson will start at power forward in his place.

Even though he’s a huge baseball fan, Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy did not attend the World Series matchup last night, because he claimed there was too much to do the night before the game. However if the Marlins we’re playing, he admitted it would probably be a different story.

Vince Carter on returning to NJ for the first time since being traded to Orlando this offseason: “It’s going to be a special night … cheer or boo, regardless it was five good (years).”

David Steele will not be on TV broadcast tonight. He’s attending his 84-year-old father’s (Ernest Steele) induction ceremony into the University of Kentucky’s Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.
