Am I correct in assuming we are only carrying 3 active DL's and if so why?

BAW, T-P -  Hey Kat,
I assume you mean DTs. Typically, they carry three "active'' DTs into a game, at least they have this season. DC Gregg Williams always works around it by playing difefrent defensive fronts.

Do you think we can dominate with the run game today
2:03
Mike Triplett, T-P -  Against Hollis Thomas?!? No way! ... Seriously, though, Malcolm, the Panthers' defensive front has become a lot more solid in recent weeks with the addition of Thomas plugging the middle, and with their outstanding linebacker Jon Beason getting healthy. So this is not an easy team to run against.

What the Saints have done best all year is attacking the openings presented by the defense. So they'll throw if the Panthers defense gives them some favorable matchups in the passing game, and they'll run if Carolina stays back in a nickel defense all afternoon. And the Saints have proven they are capable of moving the chains either way.

why do you think carolina has been so dominant here?
2:05
BAW, T-P -  Hey Jon,
I don't think there is a real reason why. Of course, the common denominator is former Saint QB Jake Delhomme the past handful of years, but sometimes teams just have other teams numbers.
Carolina has been a good, physical team and usually plays well on the road. Nothing more, nothing less.
Remember, one of Carolina's seven conseutive wins against the Saints in Louisiana occurred at Tiger Stadium in 2005.
