What are your thoughts about Better Off Ted. The reviews seem to be mixed.
12:03
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  Woops...
12:03
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  I should say G'day first.
12:04
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  I kind of liked Better Off Ted, although the title....
12:04
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  It's kind of ...
12:04
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  pukey (the title). But the show is from the guy who did Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and it's similar in tone.
12:05
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  It's a workplace comedy, single camera, no laugh track, about an evil corporation and its employees. It's sort of Office like, sort of 30 Rock-ish, too.

ding ding how great is this show?! little disappointed that Tuco was killed off in the second show though.
12:05
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  This show, meaning Breaking Bad, yes? Although Dexter does rule....
12:06
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -

I think Breaking Bad is some of the most compelling TV of the moment. I recommend it to anyone who likes dark, slightly comic, but dark drama.

I heard rumors that ABC would be showing the final episodes of Eli Stone starting tonight, but it's not on the schedule... This is the only show other than Lost that I truly care about - do you know anything about when they will show the final episodes and/or the huge longshot of a renewal for next season?
12:07
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  ABC has not announced airdates for Eli Stone, far as I know.
12:08
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -

They've said they will air the final episodes over the summer, but I strongly doubt it.

12:08
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  I suspect they will save the unaired episodes for the DVD set, to make it more desirable.

Is it me or is House getting more interesting? I'm still waiting for the House-Cuddy relationship to start.
12:09
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  I love it! We take the temperature of House and a few other shows from week to week -- is it getting better? no, it's getting worse. no, it's unredeemable. wait, a comeback. it's great.
12:10
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  We're kind of like those CNBC talking heads about the stock market...
12:10
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  But I digress.
12:11
Matthew Gilbert, TV guy -  I still think House is an amazing show. The writers keep doing CRAZY things to keep the characters on their toes. Is the show realistic? No. Are the medical mysteries predictable? Yes. But the regular characters  can be fascinating, especially the ways they read each other's minds.
