This is our live blog for possible severe weather this evening. If you have any question, comments, we're here for you! Tornado Watch until 10pm, for areas generally west of I-65 and south of the river. Tornado Warnings have been occuring in western Kentucky this afternoon. We'll be tracking the weather here, and on WHAS11 TV.
Possible tornadic storms are still about 50 miles west of the western fringe of our viewing area, west of Grayson, and Breckinridge counties... about 90 miles west of Louisville Metro. If the storms hold together, it still be 2-3 hours before they make it to the city, only an hour or so to our western edges.
It is possible the tornado watch could be extended, however, after sunset the storms should diminish in strength. We've still got around 2 hours before the storms get to Metro. The threat of a tornado is small, but there have been reports of funnel clouds around Evansville. We just have to watch and track closely this evening.
I think the storms will weaken as the evening progresses, and we lose heating, so Henry County, your chances will be less for tornadic supercells. It's an amazing system though across the country...heavy snow, flooding, wind, hail, tornadoes!!
After this front moves through this evening look for much colder temperatures tomorrow. I wouldn't surprise if we see a few snow flakes tomorrow!
