[Comment From Billy]
So you don't think Dez will play at all this season?
11:03
[Comment From John Rohde]
There's a chance he could play again, probably at least four games from now. There figures to be more investigating between now and then. Also, even if the NCAA does reinstate Dez, OSU could self-impose a penalty of its own.
11:03
[Comment From Billy]
Does that mean OSU loses 3-5 more games?
11:04
[Comment From John Rohde]
Without Dez, they could be looking at 6-6.

[Comment From Frank]
And your going to put OSU even farther down your power rankings list now too?
11:05
[Comment From John Rohde]
Not if it wins at Texas A&M. Then again, if OSU truly is as good as people claim, it should have no problem winning at Kyle Field. I'm not so sure.

John, can you name a similar scenario to Dez Bryant’s where a really good player was ruled ineligible, ended-up sitting out the entire season, but got drafted anyway and had a decent career in the pros?
11:07
[Comment From John Rohde]
Nothing comes to mind, but it likely has happened. Boz was suspended for a bowl game, then was taken first in the supplemental draft. Hey, if you're good enough, the NFL will find you. Obviously, Dez Bryant is more than good enough.

Moderator -  For what it's worth, ESPN had Mel Kiper and Todd McShay on this morning and both said this would not effect Bryant's draft stock. Both still have him as a top-10 pick.

[Comment From Wallace]
If bylaw 10.1 clearly states that the player had to knowingly lie about something that might have been a possible violation, how can this be pinned on Dez? He obviously thought that nothing was wrong with visiting Deon or he would have not jeopardized his career? Would you agree that this rule is really pretty much a matter of opinion and not clear-cut?
11:10
[Comment From John Rohde]
Ignorance is not a defense. Visiting Deion was not a violation, so that's not what the NCAA is investigating. What was the purpose of tgheir meeting and what was said is of great interest, however. Again, Dez got caught in a lie and that's why he got suspended.

What's your prediction on OU-Texas? No more Poke talk, please.
11:11
[Comment From John Rohde]
When I give my answer, you'll want to go back to talking about OSU.
11:12
[Comment From John Rohde]
OU with Bradford; 35-24, Texas. OU without Bradford: 35-14, Texas.

[Comment From Ryan F.]
Should fans take anything from the Thunder losing to the Grizz last night?
