Need to stay out of the penalty box

- This game is definitely a challenge for the Tips. It's been a long road for Everett, and the Tips will have to find the energy to take on a quality opponent.

- I'm very impressed with how well the Hitmen are performing. After compiling the league's best record last season Calgary lost a lot of top players as well as its head coach. But under former Portland coach Mike Williamson the Hitmen have picked up right where they left off.

- The Calgary players to watch are forwards Brandon Kozun and Joel Broda. Kozun comes into the night leading the league in scoring, while Broda was expected to be a pro this season.
