jerrymac -  So here we are at 2-6, just as has been the case in five of the last six years, with only a glorious 3-5 in 2004 to break it up .  . . but the 1-7 Chiefs come to town next, so who knows? . . . Fire away

What is the atmosphere around the facility. This is the beginning of a new season sort of. Do they seem ready to play?
11:59
jerrymac -  Pretty impossible to tell really. You do this long enough and you see teams that appear unfocused play well and vice-versa . . . bye week was pretty relaxed, not a lot of activity in Monday locker room . . . i would think they'd look favorably at the chance to get a win Sunday.

When will Al announce the hiring of his next GM, Mike Holmgren.
12:00
jerrymac -  Probably about the same time he sends Kiffin a congratulatory note when they make some minor bowl game.

Jerry, The Raiders start 2 rookie WR's, with a rookie WR Coach, then they tried to lean on the passing game, does that make sense?
12:02
jerrymac -  Don't think they leaned on it, but tried to upgrade it. And failed. The Raiders actually have more runs (207) than passes (203) and that's remarkable for a 2-6 team that spends a lot of its time behind in games.

What do you exspect Dmac's work load to be against Kc this week?
12:03
jerrymac -  Pretty hard to tell. Cable is going to keep everything pretty close to the vest since the Chiefs really have no idea how much they'll see McFadden and/or Schilens. I would hope they'd work to get him on the periemter with some passes or pitches, although they never seem to make it a priority.

Although it may be too little, too late, is JR still making progress as far as coming in a little earlier/staying later/watching more film that his teamates can see and appreciate? Or was that just a two-week thing that went down the tubes since they regressed again.
