2:22 | | NOTW: Tony B - And so to the last of Simon's turns Olly. He was great, really really good...but I have a problem. I struggled to remember him - well both him and little Joe. And when I say struggled to remember them I am actually saying I completely forgot them. Every week they pop up and I think "hello, who are these two?" recognition factor, totally non-exsistent, nothing, nadir. If they didn't appear, I wouldn't miss 'em. But then that could probably be said, in some way, to all of the acts. It's no wonder that Cowell struggles to remember any of their names...some of them have been such nonentities they probably struggle to remember their own names. Which can't be said of Jedward...if being **** is the new rock n' rock these guys have got it in spades. I keep trying to convince myself they are being deeply ironic, that they are in on the joke that's being played. But I fear that actually they are just deeply MORONIC and that they really do think they are great. I think it's the hair anyone who can spend that amount on hair gel to look that STUPID really can't have any idea of what they are doing. But as Jedward-mania goes global I just might, just might be wrong. But whatever just expect tonight to be a feast-fest of campness... And so finally to Stacey a woman whose diction makes The Wire seem totally comprehensible. So nasal that I'm left wondering why she even bothers to move her lips. I could have sworn she told Dermot last week: "I can squawk, I squawk." Only to discover she was saying she could walk. Which honestly makes you wonder if there's not much to this X Factor malkary than simple motor function of the legs. That said she's scrubs up lovely and has a beautiful voice.
So predictions for this week. With Louis, Cheryl and Dannii all losing at least one act this week it's going to be Simon's turn..I'm guessing either Danyl or Jamie with a possibly of Lloyd in the sing-off again. Join me at 8pm tonight and again tomorrow night for week 5 of the X Factor finals... |
