Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  Ryan Newman will be starting on the pole today while points leader Jimmie Johnson starts 15th.
1:17
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  Mark Martin (2nd in points) will be starting fourth, while Jeff Gordon (3rd) will be starting second.
1:18
Phil Allaway, Frontstretch.com -  Hello, race fans.   We're in for a good race today, full of bumping, banging, and perhaps someone getting ticked off.
1:18
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  The pressure is on for the top 5 in points to make up some ground on Johnson as well.
1:19
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  But given his recent history at the track, that may be difficult.
1:19
Phil Allaway, Frontstretch.com -

Yeah.   Johnson has won at Martinsville from further back than 15th in the past.   Pretty much, the best way to beat him today may be to "fairly"  rough him up.

1:20
Phil Allaway, Frontstretch.com -  By that, I mean actually bump him.   Don't take him out because there's a good sporting chance you could get docked 5 laps if you spin Johnson out.
1:22
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  This and next week's race at Talladega are the two "wildcards" of the Chase.
1:23
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  If Johnson can survive, this Chase is his.
1:23
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  Some people are already ready to give him the Cup, though.
1:25
Tom Bowles, Frontstretch.com -  Yes, yes they are. And I'm one of them.
1:25
Tom Bowles, Frontstretch.com -  Hey guys!
1:25
Phil Allaway, Frontstretch.com -

Hello, Tom.

1:25
Tom Bowles, Frontstretch.com -  I smell a big day for the Hendrick Motorsports contingent today. Five years after the tragedy, Martinsville still means so much to them.
1:26
Phil Allaway, Frontstretch.com -  As I going to say, not so fast Mike.   This is not over.   Talladega next week could result in anything.   And who knows what the bumping might result in today.
1:26
Mike Lovecchio, Frontstretch.com -  I agree, Phil. I'll hold off on giving him the crown until after 'Dega.
