Ben Watanabe -  Hi

Tom McGurk -  Hello

Anthony Coppola -

Let's get started.

First up is a rundown of how each team's offense has looked thus far in the preseason.

6:59
Ben Watanabe -  Millville has a lot of returners on the offensive side of the ball, including quarterback Tasker Robbins, running back Rashad Johnson and tight end Daron Moore. A few potential impact newcomers are junior receiver Khalil Wallace and senior receiver Brandon Hart. Along the line, Nick Tyndal will be a big factor and have to build on a nice freshman season.

Tom McGurk -

It's pretty tough to get a good sense of an offense with just one scrimmage in the books, but Vineland certainly boasts several big-time players at the skill positions.

Tom McGurk -

Two questions surrounding the offense need to be answered before the Fighting Clan kicks off the season on Sept. 11 at Mainland.

1) Who will be the starting quarterback?
2) Who will be starting on the offensive line?

Anthony Coppola -

Next, a look at how the defenses are stacking up.

7:02
Ben Watanabe -  The Thunderbolts return the most experience at linebacker. Josh Cassidy, Daron Moore and Sammy Serra are more than capable in the base 4-3 defense. The cornerbacks struggled a little bit last season, especially against teams like EHT and Mainland that liked to throw a lot. Both starters from the second half of last season, Rashad Johnson and DaeTrell Lindsey, are back.
7:03
Tom McGurk -

Vineland enjoyed plenty of success last season when it installed a 3-5 alignment. The Fighting Clan utilized its speed and its deep linebacker corps to make the defense work.

Vineland would like to improve in two areas on the defensive side of the ball.

1) The Clan must create more turnovers this season. 2) The team can't afford to get burned on too many big plays like it did in 2008.
