NetworkBash- What is it?
8:14
#1: Your career is not all about your resume. IT is ALL about relationships. Everything Bobby Rettew (BR) has ever gotten has been all about relationships.
8:17
BR: On teaching his Business Writing Class - he decided to teach his students how to use social media (Twitter, LinkedIn) so that they could use the power of networking - This is what brought him to build this event
8:18
BR: NetworkBash connects students with other students and professionals
8:19
BR: How good would it be to be distinguished from all of the other resumes in the stack.
8:20
BR: He shakes a students hand and asks her to introduce herself to him, and she does. She happens to tell us about herself using an 'elevator pitch'
8:21
NetworkBash: November 4th @ the Hendrix Center from 1pm-8pm. In McKissick Theater students will be able to learn how to pitch at the "Pitch Education System"
8:22
@ NetworkBash: We will learn how to leverage our Facebook accounts to get a job, learn how to use Twitter
8:23
@ NetworkBash in the Hendrix Ballrooms & Meeting Rooms there will Presentations and Seminars and an After Party Bash
8:24
Who is the team?? Business Writing Students are putting this event on > students are putting this on.
8:24
The Goal of NetworkBash: Get 250+ students to participate in the Pitch Educaiton Program, allow students to build relationships with Industry, and create momentum for the next NetworkBash event
8:26
How many of you out there have Twitter? How many of you out there have a blog? These tools are powerful and we will learn more about how to use them at NetworkBash
8:27
NetworkBash will also have a Panel Discussion @ 5pm
8:29
Pitch Education Program:

It's crucial to leverage the relationships that we have now...even with our classmates. You never know who you could be sitting next to (it may be the next Vice President of the US).
