Thank you for taking time out of your (surely) busy day to chat with us!

Paul Keep -  Harry, no problem. Hearing directly from our readers is important to me and others here at The Chronicle.

My question- Does a paper get most of it's revenue from advertising.. If so , then why keep killing your advertisers by exasturbating an already bad economic situation with constant negative press?
12:04
Paul Keep -  Great question. Traditionally, about 75 percent of a newspaper's revenue comes from advertising and the rest from circulation (home delivery and newsstand sales). When it comes to news coverage, The Chronicle cannot ignore the news. When times are tough, our readers need to hear the straight scoop from us. That is the basis for our credibility.

How do you see the printed paper and the Web working together as you go forward?
12:06
Paul Keep -  We are clearly moving from a world of all print to, at a minimum, a mixture of print and online. Many observers believe we're ultimately headed to an all online world for newspapers and other media. Time will tell. I personally prefer the printed paper and know a lot of people who do. But my teen-agers at home are definitely more connected with the Internet.
