Niagara-Rider, take 2

8:12
OK, so this thing isn't perfect and we missed the last 8 minutes of the first half. ... But with Rider up 52-43 with 17:44 left in the game, we're back.
8:14
This has been, to say the least, a game of runs. Rider used a 20-3 run to build a 41-22 lead with 5:10 left in the first half, but the Eagles have been sharp early in the escond and it's 55-46 with 1653 left.
8:15
Niagara had cut it to 53-46, but Harris Mansell scored to stretch the lead back to seven, and Novar Gadson followed by slamming home an alley-oop from Ryan Thompson.
8:16
Thompson hit a J from the top of the key to make it 59-46 and give him a game-high 14 points at the under-16 media timeout. Dance team has your entertainment.

Alright, so the Alumni Gym internet went completely dead just when this game turned into one of the most exciting I've ever seen. That's the danger in taking things live in a building in which the media room -- where I am now -- has a real wireless network and the actual gym just has an assortment of networks from around campus that occasionally come in really well. The one I was on was great in the first half and totally dead in the second, which summed up Rider's performance until the last six seconds. Harris Mansell's 3 from the corner gave the Broncs an enthralling 90-87 win that handed Siena the regular season MAAC title. Rider has beaten every team in the MAAC but Loyola, which it plays next Thursday in Baltimore. I'll have a lot more later.
