2A playoffs: North Fremont vs. Aberdeen

11:43
It's time for my live game blog debut. I couldn't let Mike and Zach have all the fun. Anyway, today's game should be a good one. North Fremont went 6-1 this season and captured the Nuclear Conference title with a perfect 3-0 mark.
The Huskies are led by running back Will Bollinger, who fourth in the area in rushing with 991 yards on 150. He's also fifth in the area in scoring with 13 touchdowns and 78 points.
Aberdeen is coming off an upset of 5-2 Kamiah.
11:45

This game offers quite a contrast to the game I covered last night - Highland vs. Skyline. North Fremont and Aberdeen are out warming up on the field, and there the teams combined don't have any many players as Highland suited up last night.
North Fremont has just 22 players listed on the varsity roster. Aberdeen lists 32 players on its roster. That's why I love small-school football so much.
The kids play just as hard, there just aren't as many of them to go around.

11:50
The crowd is slowly filing in. It'll be interesting to see what kind of crowd the game draws.
This is the first of four games in the dome today. Area teams Butte County and Ririe will be in action later today. Butte County faces Declo at 5 p.m. and Ririe meets Malad at 7:30. You can follow both games at www.postregister.com/blogs/sports. Mike Lycklama will be covering both games tonight.
11:57
The clock says three minutes to kickoff.
12:02
Good turnout from Ashton. They've got the Tiger fans outnumbered.
12:06
The starting lineups have been introduced and the ball's about to go in the air. Aberdeen will receive the opening kick.
12:08
Aberdeen will start at the 24.
12:09
Two run plays, negative 4 yards. Great start for the Huskies D.
12:11

North forces a three and out. Will start at their own 38.

12:14

After two first downs, the Huskies have it first and 10 at the A39.
