- Beautiful day at Belmont. Sunny, track looks good. Happy Belmont day.

Happy to hear that the sun is out. How's the track?

Dan Liebman
- Track looks fantastic. Hard to believe it after it was so sloppy Friday.

Will it be fast by Belmont Stakes post?
12:02
Dan Liebman
- Well it is listed now as good. No chance for rain today, sun is out. No wind though. That would help dry it out. So it is 50-50.

Dan, how do you feel about ''long shot'' Mr. Hot Stuff ?
12:05
Dan Liebman
- I see Charitable Man as the controlling pace factor. His last race was very impressive. Mine That Bird will have to stay closer. Dunkirk will be back. Miner's Escape will take the lead. I see Charitable Man winning with Mine That Bird closing like in Preakness.

Seen any Belmont Stakes horses this morning?

Dan Liebman
- If this was a beauty contest, Mr. Hot Stuff would win. What a gorgeous colt. But I don't see him having a chance here.

- I was not on the backside this morning. I let Steve Haskin have that pleasure. I was back there Thursday and Friday mornings.

Thank you Dan

I'm curious about something regarding Mine That Bird. How do you stay closer on a horse that only has one run? Will it happen somewhat because of the slower pace?
12:06
Dan Liebman
- Well he just cannot drop back completely out of contention and I don't think there is any chance of that. He has a great three-eighths run and Calvin will have to time that.

Usually, you can throw out at least half the field in the Belmont on pedigree. I'm not so sure this year. Who would you throw out on pedigree?

Dan, what time @ the half would you like to see for Charitable Man if he ends up on or near the lead ? Also, for the closers...

Dan Liebman
- On pedigree, Brave Victory figures the leasts. Also, Luv Gov is not assured of getting the trip.
12:11
Dan Liebman
- Well I would love to see a half in 49 or 50. The closer would of course like to see 47 or 48.

Thanks Dan. What do you think of Dunkirk on pedigree? I know he has stamina on the dam side, but Unbridled's Song niggles at me.

The Belmont is often a jockey's race. Who has the advantage in that respect?
