Matt, what is your theory about where Lost is going. I read somewhere the series is "doubling back" on itself. Season 5 parallels 2 (lots of Dharma stuff), 4 paralleled 3 (split group storylines), so will 6 parallel 1? As in, retell the saga from the beginning because the universe has finally "course corrected"?

Matthew Gilbert, TV guy - I've heard that, too. And it's a cool idea. I'd love to see them redo season one, only give it entirely different context.

Hey Matthew. There seems to be mixed review on ABC's CASTLE. While I loved Nathan Fillion I thought he was better than the rest of the show. Did you see it? Your thoughts?

Matthew Gilbert, TV guy - I was on the "nay" side of the mixed reaction. The crime plotting is too light for me, and Fillion seems too bent on being CHARMING.

On Californication, David Duchovny's character is a similiarly over-charismatic writer. But he's kind of pathological. Fillion just seems kind of smug.

Matthew Gilbert, TV guy - I did watch, although I have two or three saved up on my DVR. And I liked it -- not loved, though.
