- Closing arguments will resume shortly. Fumo's lawyer, Dennis Cogan, has brought forth complaints about references and comments made by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Zauzmer during his closing argument yesterday.

- Cogan is trying to limit what Zauzmer can say about Mike Palermo and Roseanne Pauciello, longtime Fumo associates who invoked their Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate themselves.

- "I think you know when you're being taken for a ride," Zauzmer said when recalling that Fumo testified that Palermo was involved in a project to revamp the turnpike rest stops and the Turnpike Commission could not produce any documents to that effect.
