Husker Talk Live: Noon

11:55
OWHsports -  Welcome to the Monday edition of Husker Talk Live. Rich Kaipust will be joining us shortly, so send in your questions.
11:59
Rich Kaipust -  I'm here. Start whenever. I'll give you a quick head's up and say nothing new on Suh's matter as of this morning. If Bo is going to address it any further, it will be after practice this evening.

After being named national defensive player of the week Sunday by the Walter Camp Foundation, Jared Crick this morning was named Big 12 defensive player of the week. Some pretty good stuff for the sophomore. His stats were crazy Saturday for a D-Tackle, as you might have noticed.

[Comment From Sawyer]
Can the Huskers beat OU? I have a feeling it will be pretty low scoring with two good defenses ... but I don't see the Huskers scoring at all.
12:01
Rich Kaipust -  It's going to have to be low-scoring for NU to have a chance. K-State tried to slug it out with OU and did for a while, but couldn't keep up. My thinking is the Sooners would be happy to bite and play a possession game, punt it back and forth and do enough to win.

[Comment From JD]
Break down the North right now for us
12:03
Rich Kaipust -  The funniest thing with that is watch Mizzou in the rear-view mirror. They start out 0-3 but they still could make a charge in all of this. Nebraska has the tie-breaker on them, so that's a huge strike against the Tigers. I'm not sure I know much more about the North than I did last week. I'd say Nebraska still needs to go 5-3 to take it.

[Comment From Ron]
Do you think Watson and Pellini were and are only going to use Green against Baylor and then go back to Lee for rest of year?
12:04
Rich Kaipust -  Nope. I think that horse is out of the barn, Ron.

[Comment From Smitty]
I feel like the biggest problem facing the Huskers is the offensive line.....How have the coaches done with recruiting ing that area and do we have some younger kids that will help us soon
12:06
Rich Kaipust -  Smitty, I do know they like some of the younger kids that are redshirting now. Qvale and Sirles are guys that have at times appeared possibilities to play this season. Qvale would have if not for injury. They've got some bodies in there now with Ash and Coffey. It's just going to take time to get them where they want them.
