Eagles chat with Jeff McLane

9:30
Philly.com -  Welcome to today's Eagles chat with the Inquirer's Jeff McLane. He will be joining us at 10 a.m. but feel free to submit questions and comments now.
10:02
Jeff McLane -

Welcome, everyone. The season opens Sunday. I'm sure there's lots to ask. Let's get started.

10:02
[Comment From Donovan McNasty]
How does Westbrook look? Is he really healthy? Do you think his ankle will hold up for the season?
10:04
Jeff McLane -

DMac: Practice was closed yesterday, but from what I've seen the last few weeks, Westbrook looks good. Now remember, it's just practice. I think if I got out there and ran around, some may believe  I was ready for the first game. OK, maybe not. But I think you get my point. We won't know until Sunday. As for the ankle, we'll see. Remember, he also had off-season knee surgery.

[Comment From Fly Eagles Fly]
How concerned are you with the Eagles' linebacking core?
10:06
Jeff McLane -

Fly: It's not me who should be concerned. It's the Eagles coaches. And I believe they are. Let's see ... Stewart is out, Mays couldn't grab the job even though the coaches gave him every opportunity, and Gaither kind of backdoors his way into the job. And he's got a bum knee. Not exactly the type of scenario you want going into the opener.

10:06
[Comment From Romo for Pres]
Where do you see the Eagles finishing in the division? I honestly think that the Cowboys will dominate and win the division.
10:07
Jeff McLane -  Romo: Really? You think the Cowboys will dominate? Go figure. I like the Giants, and then the Birds and then the 'boys. Something like Giants 12-4, Eagles 10-6 and Cowboys 8-8.
10:07
[Comment From Keith (Plymouth)]
What kind of year do you think McNabb will have?
10:09
Jeff McLane -  Keith: Well, he's healthy. That's good news. I think we'll see the same Donovan we've seen before. Good for most of the season, but susceptible to certain stretches when you just have to scratch your head and go, 'Huh?' Nevertheless, I think the numbers will be there at the end. He's got a ton of options to throw to.
