[Comment From Matt]
Are we near a peak with this? Or will we see more H1N1 cases this winter?
5:08
Dr. Judy Monroe -  We will not know if we are at the peak for another week or two. We may see a peak soon and then another peak or wave in the winter. We just cannot predict exactly what will happen.

[Comment From Julie]
I'm concerned about my child getting an H1N1 vaccine with mercury in it. How can I make sure my child gets the vaccine without mercury?
5:09
Dr. Judy Monroe -  The mercury in the vaccine is less than the amount in a can of tuna. Mutliple studies have shown that it is safe, but if you still have concerns there is a thimerosol free version of the H1N1 vaccine but it is not as widely available.

[Comment From Ron Cunningham]
I am a 50 year old male with COPD. Should I get the H1N1 shot?
5:10
Dr. Judy Monroe -  Yes Ron, you absolutely should get the H1N1 vaccine as soon as you can.
5:12
Dr. Judy Monroe -  Asthma is a major risk factor for complications of the flu and the vaccine should be safe for you to take unless you have an egg allergy.

[Comment From Jabby]
I have asthma. I am 44 yrs. old. I have sleep apnea, and allergies. I have taken precautions not to get H1N1, but can I get the vaccine safely, or I am better off to not get it because the vaccination may make me ill?

[Comment From Donna]
Why are teachers and people who give services to the public, not included in the persons who can not get the vaccine now?
