Ted, Memphis has always killed us. Is there any way we can make this time a game?
12:00
Ted Lewis, T-P -  Senior Night at Memphis against the No. 3 team in the country is a tall order. Still. I don't see it as a blowout.

I noticed Daniel Puckett seemed to play better after the benching. You think it was a motivating factor, or is he better coming off the bench?
12:02
Ted Lewis, T-P -  Good question. Daniel is a player who doesn't take much for granted, so I doubt that he needed motivation. It's just that he is an inconsistent shooter, and in the last couple of games things have finally fallen for him.

So what's up with the baseball team? We're not setting the world on fire right now.
12:04
Ted Lewis, T-P -  Be patient, prof. The team did win its last three games of the weekend. This is still a work in process. You are seeing younger guys like Jeremy Schaffer and Jamie Bruno getting their opportuniites. This is a big week, especially with Southenr Cal coming in on Friday.

[Comment From Billy G]
Ted, Men's basketball seems to be getting better. Have you heard anything on the recruit Holmes who seems to be tearing it up and was highly rated in high school? And Timmons was supposed to be a real contributor too. So it seems like next year could be a big improvement, do you agree? Who are we going after for big men in spring recruiting? Thanks
12:08
Ted Lewis, T-P -

Aaron Holmes has had a good year after being sidelijned early with a wrist injury. Timmons was doing well before he was hurt.. I have been impressed with Trent Rogers the last couple of weeks. The target for recruiting is to add   a couple of big men, although signing an impact big man in the spring is not something easily done I think you will see next year's team centered on perimeter players like Kris Richard, Holmes and Timmons with Kevin Sims continuing his major role as the point guard.
