What happened to Johnny Mayhane? Wasnt he supposed to be Dave Dickersons top recruit coming in that year?
12:05
Ted Lewis, T-P -  Johnny has a couple of good games, but when he was put into the starting lineup for the Marshall game he pretty much disappeared. He's not the defensive player or shooter that Kris Richard is.

How does Turchin compare with the new Box?
12:05
Ted Lewis, T-P -  I haven't been inside the new Box so I really can't say.

I feel that the Tulane football program has the potential to become like University of Miami's. They both are in good recruiting areas, good city's and decent academic schools with larger state schools to compete against. What do you think is holding the program back?
12:08
Ted Lewis, T-P -  You have a lot of faith, there Mike. Tulane's not being in a BCS conference is a major liability. New Orleans is also a smaller metropolitan area so there are fewer potential fans, and most of Tulane's alumni live out of state as it is. Finally, Tulane holds itself to having higher academic standards than Miami, and that is a detriment in recruiting.

Ted, I'm not going to say that I think the Wave can win the CUSA tournament, but walk us through a possibility of at least winning a game or two.
12:10
Ted Lewis, T-P -  Tulane should win its opener. East Carolina has lost five straight, and before that, Tulane beat the Pirates 73-64 about a month ago. After that, though, the Wave would face Memphis and it's doubtful that the Conference USA All-Stars could beat the Tigers on their home court. That being said, this is three finishes in the top half of the conference in four years under Dave Dickerson and his teams have always won at least one game in the tournament.
