HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -  Good afternoon and welcome to Breeders' Cup Saturday! I'll be your host this afternoon from HorseplayerPRO.com, and we'll be joined with trackside reports from our own Joe Kristufek and special guests throughout the day. We'll be looking for horses who are giving off visual signs, live tote underlays and overlays and more! Fire away with your comments and/or questions. Each comment goes to the moderator and is placed into the chat as time and situations fits. Enjoy and good luck!

Is the heat going to be a factor today?
12:50
HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -  Only on a case-by-case basis, Pete...it's certainly not the inferno we've seen at SA in past BCs, and Europeans did awfully well in 2003 when it was nearly 100 degrees at this venue. But the visual clues will be important as we get to look at the horses in the paddock, post parade and warm-up. I'd say weather will be very little factor at all.
12:52
HP-Pro-Joe Kristufek -  It's extremely cool and comfortable here. Weather will NOT be a factor AT ALL. If a horse is washy or sweating at all, it should be viewed as a negative sign.

richard's kid, what are your thoughts? the tvg & hrtv people of the world love him, i do not get it
12:53
HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -  I think he's a pure 1-1/4 miles horse, and is in career from for an elite trainer -- that part puts him in the mix, but this will be his toughest test by far. I can see him hitting the board, Huey, he does make sense on many levels: pace, affinity for track, peaking at the right time
12:53
HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -  career form
12:53
HP-Pro-Joe Kristufek -  No reason not to like Richard's Kid (at a price). He's obviously a synthetics horse. He's home, and he finishes well. Agree with every thing JP said too.

He was impressive in his last work, definitely
12:54
HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -

Race 1 sprints 7F on the main track -- yesterday's F&M Sprint was dominated on the front end with Informed Decision running 2nd early and drawing off, and Headley's overmatched speedball holding for third, due to a soft pace

DRF's Mike Welsch wrote about him yesterday; "Little keg of dynamite couldn't have turned in a more impressive-looking final drill, kicking home his final three-eighths in 35.05 without pressure before galloping out another eighth in 12.40. Horse for the course is a real threat with the proper pace setup."

early pick 3 race 1-138-1211-4913

HP-Pro-Joe Kristufek -

I would love to see Zenyatta win, but she's going to be an underlay. Inflating the prices on everyone else, including Richard's Kid.

12:57
HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -  Pete, you're bombing away in that middle leg -- good luck
12:57
HP-Pro Jeremy Plonk -  M One Rifle in this opener was the best sprinter I saw at Del Mar this summer not named Zensational....he's going to be tough
