Who has the pitching advantage in the LSU vs Rice Super Regional and who wins in how many games?
1:02
Brian Foley -  I think Rice has the advantage in this series in the pitching department with Ryan Berry and Mike Ojala. I think they are slightly better then Anthony Renaudo and Louis Coleman of LSU.

LSU has a superior offense when compared to the Owls which will give them the series victory 2 games to 1.

Playing at Alex Box Stadium is going to be a great experience for the Owls and should be interesting.

The Austin super regional looks to be pretty exciting. Both TCU and UT went 3-0 in their regions and look pretty good. Does TCU have a chance against the pitching of ut?
1:05
Brian Foley -  I was less then impressed by Texas this weekend as they struggled with Army twice and we don't even need to talk about how much that offense struggled against Boston College.

I think TCU could shock the Longhorns at home if the Horned Frogs can handle the environment and if there are nothing crazy that happens. We know umpires can be influenced by a loud crowd.

Has anyone ever thrown more pitches in a game than Austin Wood did versus Boston College?
1:11
Brian Foley -  It has happened this season actually. I have been able to find through Boyd's World Pitch Count Watch that Coppin State's Fletcher tossed 170 pitches against Delaware State in seven innings on April 5th. Manny Kumar of Grambling State tossed 171 pitches on April 12th against Texas Southern. Florida A&M's Timo Schalach tossed 174 pitches in a 11 inning appearance against North Carolina A&T. You can check out the full list by clicking here.

Who do you like in the ACC vs SEC Supers: FSU vs Ark and Miss vs Virginia?
1:13
Brian Foley -  I am not totally sold yet on the Florida State pitching staff so I think Arkansas could hang around with the Seminoles this weekend. Arkansas is a solid squad who has had their ups and downs this season.

I was thinking that Virginia would be a contender for the National Championship next season but they showed this weekend that they can hit some dominate pitching with the Irvine Regional victory. I think UVA takes that series against Ole Miss but last night Drew Pomeranz looked fantastic on the hill for the Rebels.

It wouldn't be a shock if TCU beat Texas.. Army was a better team than them this weekend. Made their pitchers look average at best
1:16
Brian Foley -  You have to give the Army coaching staff some credit to bringing in some great talent to West Point. They have to face some tough academic standards plus the miltary committement after school and they made a regional final this year. I love watching the Cadets play and they should be back in the NCAA Tourney next year.

TCU went out to Fullerton at the beginning of the year and won two out of three games against the Titans so we know they can handle the big time atmosphere.

ECU vs. UNC. They split during the reg. season (1-1) w/ both winning at home. ECU coming off an emotional come-from-behind win and never give up attitude vs. UNC's home field adv. and extra rest. Who wins?
1:23
Brian Foley -  First of all, Big difference between a mid-week game and a weekend game with the Tar Heels.

The biggest problem for UNC lately has been how ineffective Alex White has been over his last three starts. He picked up a tough loss against Boston College, got hammered by Virginia where the Cavs picked up a mercy win, and only lasted 4.2 innings against Coastal Carolina.

Matt Harvey has turned it around for the Heels over his last three starts which is a great sign for UNC. Dustin Ackley is one of the best players in the country and should be able to continue his unreal hitting too.

I think UNC sweeps ECU fairly easily this weekend.

Who will be the final 8 teams left standing after Monday's games?
1:28
Brian Foley -  Louisville at Cal-State Fullerton

The Cardinals have a great offense but it is Cal-State Fullerton and they always come through in the clutch. I see Cal-State taking the series in three games.

1:29
Brian Foley -  Arkansas at Florida State

I think the Razorbacks are going to give the Noles some trouble and I see Arkansas upsetting FSU in three games.

1:30
Brian Foley -  Virginia (46-12-1) at Mississippi (43-18)

The Virginia pitching staff has been outstanding all season and with Ole Miss without Scott Bittle, I think the Cavs can take the series in three games even though Oxford is a very tough place to play.
1:32
Brian Foley -  Rice at LSU

This is the toughest series to predict. I think Rice has the pitching to beat LSU but LSU's offense   is just too much for the Owls as LSU takes it in three games.
1:33
Brian Foley -  TCU vs Texas

I think Texas will end up beating TCU in three games. As I have said before, I was less then impressed by the Texas offense against BC and Army.
