Whew! Got here to courtside with 4 minutes left in warmups. Had to scramble to get the New Lothrop game written. A big mistake to volunteer to blog the Class A game for MLive. I hope I don't have 50 typos in my New Lothrop story. It's posted at

These teams have one significant common opponent: New Lothrop, which just repeated as Class D champion. Hamady beat New Lothrop 67-55 and 47-41 in GAC Blue play. McBain lost 51-44 at home to New Lothrop in the season opener.

New Lothrop coach Tom Kohlmann said after his game that he had "no doubt" Hamady would win this game. He credits playing teams like Hamady in the regular season for making them so tough in Class D.
