O.S. # 1 - WHITTINGHAMS DECISIONS QB change Wynn is a better thrower that was clear and he made some plays that I don't think cain would have made, with that said I am not sure Cain did anything to get himself pulled other than the last two sacks -- clearly this has been brewing and their must be a lot of things taking place that only the coaches see Big Picture on the moves This is an unreal story #18 in the country basically fires its offensive coordinator and benches their QB on the same day while being 6-1 One of two ways to look at it .... one level it is brilliant rather than waiting for failure and having proof to justify your move Whit acted on what he was seeing and did what he thought was right ... the other angle is tinkering that is unnecessary and sends the team into confusion at a critical point of the season by a head coach who has struggled in his brief career dealing with offensive issues. I think I side with the first. I like the proactive approach.

O.S. # 2 - THE JAZZ WHO ARE WHO THEY ARE I am reading Seven Seconds or less which is a great book where the writer lives inside the Phoenix Suns coaches life for an entire year. At one point in the book Robert Sarver the owner of the Suns is pissed off that his team is tougher and isn't fighting back against the Lakers. Finally assistant coach Alvin Gentry, says "Our guys are who they are, it is either in them or it isn't." This is where the Jazz are right now as well. This team is not defensive minded, most of the guys aren't fighters in the way that a** kicking defensive players. Sloan has said this before. Obviously, this team needs to get better defensively, but historically teams don't make huge jumps and even moreso don't make huge jumps without personnel change. The issue for the Jazz right now is that they don't have Korver or Miles two guys that open up the offense and it is going to be an offensive struggle for this team that is not inclined to be great defensively. This league is about differential, how much better one side of the ball is compared to the other side, therefore for the Jazz they need to get their offense back to the level it was two years ago. 08-09 -- 110.1 107.2 = 2.9 07-08 -- 113.8 106.4 = 7.4 If the team had the same offense last year as it had had the year before then the Jazz would have had a differential of 7.4 and that would have made them a 59 to 60 win team and the #2 in West and the #4 team overall

O.S. # 3 - WHAT I LEARNED IN THE NFL THIS WEEK The for all the talk of Farve and QB's line play matters, Minnesota is completely dominate to Green Bay on both sides of the line of scrimmage and therefore could lose .... no one in the NFL has anything that equals the left side of the Vikings offensive line and as the weather gets colder and the game bogs down this will become more and more of an advantage .... Minneosta Percy Harvin should be the rookie of the year in the NFL, he is making the biggest impact .... the Philadelphia Eagles have a new generations of stars, with DeShaun Jackson, Jeremy Mackin and LeSean McCoy all being lead by a veteran in Donovan McNabb it is a perfect combo for a team that is going to get better every week ..... The NY Giants have allowed 112 points in the last three weeks, something is wrong and not easily fixable .... Houston Texans are 5-3 and lead by their offense but their defense is #1 in the NFL in forcing 3 and outs, is it possible their defense is good enough as well .... that as good as Joe Flaco is becoming the Ravens are a defense and ball control team and they are far better off if Flaco is a compliment to the offense not the offense .... I told you on Friday bad running team plays bad running defense and bad running team will become good Ryan Moats goes for 126 yards and 3 td's for Texans everyone will grab him on the waiver wire in fantasy and unless he plays the Bills it won't matter .... I have no idea who the Cowboys are but

Bags said that Deron is above average as a defender and Locke and a caller both questioned his judgement

Bags reminding everyone that he was right that Cain would start the season for the Utes. Ben says that the gap in game manager must have narrowed between the 2.

Play calling is totally overrated...play execution is underrated...a draw on 3 and 10 looks ridiculous if the RB 5 yards, but looks brilliant if he catches the D off balance and gets the first down.

Locke finds the Shcramm/ Rodderick story more fascinating than Cain/ Wynn

[Comment From Z_23]
Do you think this was Whitt's plan all along...given that Cain hasn't done anything to "lose" the job...Give Wynn more time to be ready in the system?
